Small Patch and Small Roadmap
Hello! It’s been pretty crazy for us here at Innersloth. Lots of things happening behind the scenes. We’ve got a small update here for you all.
Firstly, we want to be sure to talk about the cheating and hacking going on. It was pretty bad there for a bit, so Forte pushed out server changes really fast. They seemed to help a lot, but some cheats still work and now there are bugs too. There will be more server updates to fix all of this, but rushing anti-hacks is what caused the bugs, so cleaning things up is a slower process. Also rest assured that any threats made in the game are false and your devices and data are safe. If you see a hacker, ban them or find a different room.
Here's what this update contains:
- Added Anonymous Voting option
All votes appear as grey
- Added Task Bar Modes
Always mode works like normal
Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
Invisible mode removes the task bar entirely
- MIRA: Comms sabotage clears the security logs
-Added symbols to fix wires task
-Added cosmetics to meeting screen
-Various bug fixes
We have lots of things planned, but no real official roadmap. We play things pretty loose so we can tackle what we think the game needs most. We also don’t want to promise anything and then not provide it so it’s a scary thing to share. Here are some of the big things we are planning:
-Accounts. We’re hoping to get accounts into the game by December. This will allow players to report accounts that are toxic and/or hacking. They may be a bit barebones at first but things like friendslists will also come at a later date after launch.
-New Map. We’re hard at work on a new map (It’s Henry Stickmin themed!). This map is currently looking bigger than Polus! The map will contain plenty of new tasks and will be available for free to all players!
-Translations/Localization. The game is currently only translated into a few languages (and some of those translations are a bit rough). We’re planning on getting professional translations into multiple languages (More than we currently have, not ready to share quite which languages yet). To all the people offering to translate, thanks for reaching out, but we’ve got it under control!
-Colorblind support. This patch contains a first pass on colorblind support. We’ll continue monitoring it to see how it performs.
Mind you this isn’t the full extent of our plans. We’ve got lots of things we’re planning that we’re not quite ready to share yet! Thanks for sticking with us and enjoying the game! We’re going through some growing pains right now, but I am very excited for the future of Among Us!

why does among us is paid in pc but free in mobile ( im a mobile player )
Most Android players download pirated versions instead of paying. Or they'll just not play.
Because they have ads on mobile and pc doesn't have ads
The reason why PC costs money is because in PC you get the updates first by so many weeks before mobile gets it, you get the clothing for free I think, and you get no ads.

I am super excited about the friend update cause my friends and I play almost every night together over FaceTime
I would like to add a suggestion to the friend update, when you add the friends can you make it so that there’s a voice chat plz? I know that a lot of people would like that. Now you guys can add rules like you are automatically muted when the game starts and unmuted when there’s meetings or reports but that may be a future update if you ever wanted to add something like that. I would also recommend a way to chat out of game as well, kind of like what Roblox has done. If you have a friend and you want to say hey let’s play or something like that then you can add a chat section. Thanks for reading!! HAPPY GAMING! I want to see an Card Swipe update Task. So first you need to go to Communications, and in there, you pickup the card at the table near the door on the left side. Pickup the card, put it in the wallet. And secondly you baisicly go into admin to swipe the card.
Great idea but I think in Among Us, there are a lot of tasks that need you to go from one place to another to complete them (task with fuel and similar). Card swipe is perfect, it's short, which is rare, it can take you sometimes more or less time to do it and it puts you under the pressure if someone is looking at you at that moment. If you fail at first, you may be suspicious and if you do it at your first attempt, you may be also suspicious for doing it so fast.
Okay So I have a slight problem, I play among us on PC and not on steam, I downloaded the game and purchased it on the original website, how do I update my game? I don't want to have to pay another $5 just for an update ...someone please help.
If you downloaded through itch.io, just click the little down arrow in the top right of your screen, click on My Library, then find Among Us and click download. No need to pay again.
and will that download be the updated version?
yes, as far as I am aware. I have downloaded an updated version that way already.
Hello Innersloth, massive fan of your game. (And at this point who isn't?) Though, I do have a few requests about future updates that could help the game out.
1. I don't think there is enough colour variety in the hats/clothing. There's only a few hats that change colour with your own avatar colour, but most of them look pretty goofy. I'm seeing a lot of blues, greens and blacks in the hats section, and a couple others here and there. You should make at least 2 hats for every different coloured avatar in the game.
2. With the coming accounts and friend lists and everything to do with them, I personally think this is a fantastic idea that can help people in many ways, especially the reporting side of it. However, as I have seen a few other people say, there should be a "troll report" system in place, so if somebody bans you for no valid reason, the player that reported the other person also gets punished.
3. More maps should be implemented. I know map making can take up a lot of time and recourses, but after this update comes out the game to me would be basically finished. Bug fixes here and there of course, but other than fixing bugs, to me the accounts are the last thing that need to be added. Though, it might be hard to find new map ideas, do some off the games you've added easter eggs about, The Legend of Zelda, Henry Stickmin (I know there's one of these maps coming soon), but you should add more maps like that.
And that's all I have to say about this games future updates. I absolutely love the game and i've drained hours upon hours into it. Thanks for giving us all a game that proves you don't need good graphics to be a best-seller title, aside from minecraft of course but this was the first one everybody realized the truth.
Could you guys add Among Us to Mac, because not everyone has a PC.
You can play on Mac a couple ways. Look at VMWare or Parallels, or you can use Blue Stack.
VMWare and Parallels cost money, BlueStacks is not compatible with macOS Big Sur. They should just make it compatible on Steam.
I just read today that the latest VMware Fusion 12 will be free for personal use. Go check it out.

When will the friends list come out on both platforms?
Everytime I play it kicks me out of the game it self anyone else have this problem?

why not make a free version on steam but it only gives you the hats that you get in mobile that be great cause people don’t have iPads and can’t afford the pc version it be really great
Use your phone or just buy it... It's the price of a meal deal, if you can't afford that you should be spending your time finding income instead of playing video games.
Thats not even the reason why its paid. Mobile is free because ads is a thing, however on pc ads isn't possible so they have to make it paid on pc. And your parents or you must have some sort of mobile technology that can download the game.
you should be able to friend people on among us so if their playing you can join their room if there is a free space and you can chat with them when your not even in their room
Edit: and there would be a option on the home screen for friends abd you can friend them in the chat when your in game with them
Also maybe you could give them a nickname so if they change there real username you can still recognize them

its right put a detective mode to check the sewers well thought out body
I'd personally would like new game modes, like a mode where people have rolls, like detective, who can check vents, and a medic, who can bring people back if they died within 10 seconds of their death (for balancing reasons). When you're voted out, it wouldn't say whether ornot you were the impostor, but instead, it says your role. Just an idea.
Role?? So you can be a medic imposter basically.

That would be weird, we would need a hide and seek selection of maps or imposters would barely be able to see
can u remove that thing is when u stay in a lobby for 15 minutes, twice i got a hundred players and about to start then they said the server room is closed due to inactivity, it’s not my fault it’s the ppl who doesn’t join but if they did they instantly leave, and can u make when we press the leave button they ask me r u sure u want to leave, yes, or no. Please these things ruined my fun

Need more extreme Anti-Hacks people are still hacking especially on mobile. Maybe add an option that reports people for hacking and immediately bans them from the lobby without needing to be host as well. and add report people for unnecessary ban, i be getting banned when I ask them to start the game. also you could maybe add reputation to peoples accounts so if they are reported you can see what they banned for and so you can avoid those people and maybe add an option that exclude servers from list that have a certain person in it. maybe add it the accounts thing so people have to login with an account from where they bought the game like steam login.
