Still hoping for a way to buy pets in a legitimate PC version of the game (since Steam has remained a known health hazard for well over a year and recently hit 7 months of Valve actively blocking the only safe workaround in spite of knowing the problem since a few days after it began).
Pets on itch.io when? Or alternative PC storefront with pets as an option when?
If you have the itch.io launcher, it should be able to be updated through that.
If not, at the top of the page while signed in, there's a "you own this game" banner with a "download" button. Re-download and extract it, overwriting the previous files, and it should be updated. Just make sure you hit "yes" to the overwrite option when it asks.

Did you read the last sentence of my message? Not all chromebooks are able to open .apks. Chromebooks are based off of an entirely different distro of linux. Many Chromebooks use different architectures than what the .apk file supports.
I'm having issues on the switch version. Can't buy hats or skins, we need accounts so any purchases can be carried over between consoles and mobile, and sometimes the touch screen on the switch doesn't respond. Sometimes it does. And the motion control isn't set to optional so that threw me off doing that randomly.
Man be patient, please they are working hard on it to make it the best it can. Id rather have a product that is good rather than one that is rushed and unfinished.
The new map has not been released yet. It will be released sometime at the beginning of this year. There is a glitch to be able to get it on the switch, but I don't know how to get it or if it is still there.
