Pets on itch.io when? Or alternative PC storefront with pets as an option when?
If you have the itch.io launcher, it should be able to be updated through that.
If not, at the top of the page while signed in, there's a "you own this game" banner with a "download" button. Re-download and extract it, overwriting the previous files, and it should be updated. Just make sure you hit "yes" to the overwrite option when it asks.

Did you read the last sentence of my message? Not all chromebooks are able to open .apks. Chromebooks are based off of an entirely different distro of linux. Many Chromebooks use different architectures than what the .apk file supports.

Late, but the easiest way to update is to get the itch.io launcher and update it from there.

Been causing issues for people with migraines, epilepsy, vertigo and other conditions since the new library update in late 2019.
Valve has known it's a problem since, at the very latest, a few days after that time.
