I purchased among us on the website called "itch.io" and i am on a chrome book they sent me a file and i am confused, like how am i supposed to download a game using a just a file. I watched many you tube videos and searched as much as i can. what do i do to? and did i just get scammed?
The version sold here is for Windows. It doesn't work on a Chromebook. If you want to play the game on a Chromebook, you should download it from the Play Store. You can contact itch.io support for a refund.

I think skins and stuff are free on PC except for pets. Pets are extra paid as they are DLCs, not just a regular buddy. It's also only like £2, go onto the menu, there should be a little dollar icon. Click that, and choose the pet you want, click the buy button. Reload the game and go into a lobby, customize, go to pets and select it, you know the deal. At least it gives two pets in a bundle and you can get all of them with the 'buy all' button.

what, I didn't make an excuse? I was just saying some people use bluestacks to get it for free and why.. why would you do that? then innersloth doesn't get the money (I think). And anyways bluestacks IS laggy, I wasn't sure and asked my brother 'what if it's a virus?' and he was like 'nah' but it was really laggy so we ended up deleting it and getting it here. so what did your comment mean by that?
Actually, devs allow people to use bluestacks cause bluestacks has ads and you don't get the extra PC stuff (you get extra stuff when you pirate the game)

So if you have paid for and downloaded it, go into the files and open the among-us-windows one. After that, open the next file. Do that until you get to Among Us, which looks like an installer icon. Right click that and click 'Open'. It will ask you to extract some files, but if it opens another window after the extraction is done, just press the bottom Tab thing on it.
Otherwise, just wait for it to extract. Now, it will send you back to one file, keep opening it until you get to the actual Among Us logo. Right click, open it and wait for it to load. Hope I helped.

Did you try opening the file and the context inside? If that doesn't work you may need to delete that file and redownload. Hopefully that helps.
