Friendly reminder to people who say they have quickchat: Go to settings, data then set it to free chat or quick chat, if you can't, install the google play app and make sure you're signed in. Itch.io file users, just download steam and make an account and use it, then you can make an account
Steam keys don't help paying customers who bought on itch.io because we can't use Steam and don't want the game on a platform which is a literal health hazard and has been known to be so for 18 months now.
Yes, funnily enough, a problem that sets off several problems for people with specific conditions which aren't present in the majority of people doesn't affect the majority of people. What a shocking revelation that is...
CD Projekt Red addressed a similar issue affecting a smaller number of users with Cyberpunk within 2 days of being made aware it was a problem, and fixed it as completely as can be done for a game of its type within ONE month. Valve have software which is easier to manage than the game in question in terms of the effects on the relevant medical conditions, and have not only failed to address the problem for more than EIGHTEEN TIMES as long as it took CDPR to completely fix their problem, but have directly made the problem WORSE instead of better.
At this stage in the situation, I consider Google Play to be a more viable PC gaming storefront than Steam, because workarounds that make it usable on PC aren't being actively and deliberately blocked by the platform the way workarounds that make the Steam client actually safe to use have been by Valve.
"The only one here" and "the only one with a problem" are two VERY different things. And by "here" you only mean "active in a rarely-used comment section" anyway. There's been plenty of discussion of the issues with Steam elsewhere, and I do my best to raise awareness because the weirdness of the situation is such that many affected people aren't even suspecting the possibility of Steam being a cause for the recent increase in their symptoms.
And that's before considering the number of non-medical reasons I know of for a variety of former Steam users to begin moving their game libraries elsewhere and step away from the platform, avoiding buying games there and refusing to accept Steam keys as a replacement for a non-Steam purchase. Notably their irresponsible (arguably illegal in some countries) approach to invasive DRM, as well as some people buying Epic's "they're ripping off the devs" line.
You'll have to use the Steam version to make an account. It doesn't work for the itch version. You can use the key on the download page to add the game to Steam
I ordered the red plushie from the Innersloth store, and it arrived today. I really like it, it's soft, squishy, and seems fairly durable. Most of the colors are out of stock now, but I'd suggest trying to snag one if you can, they're really great.
2.all players should be able to vote-kick someone in the lobby instead of only in the game(in case host dont start, host is annoying,or host is hacker but they dont want to leave beacause they already become“friends”)
If you want to get it free, pirate it! XD. It may be illegal, but it's not like the cops are gonna come after you for it. They didn't come after me for it. Wait, what's that? There's knocking on my door, gotta go.
I used to like Among Us, and played it 24/7. I got addicted to the game. But now Among Us is technically a disappointment, so disappointing that popular Youtubers who once played the game are turning away from Among Us and moving to more popular titles or game jam games.
I have a lot of problems playing the game after it's QuickChat update. I got very excited and updated Among Us on Google Play. Then I booted up my emulator and played it.
Firstly, let's go over some things. The day I was playing this game was when it was my birthday. I decided to invite my friends to play a match online.
So after I specified my birthdate, it was time to play. I hosted a game of my own and told my friends the code they had to enter to join the game. They all entered, and I was a crewmate. We played for a few minutes until a dead body was reported. At first, they voted for Orange, but then they voted for White (Me)! I tried to explain that I was innocent and that I did tasks. But quickchat stopped me from doing that. All I could say was "lies" and hope they didn't vote for me. They did, and for once, I got super frustrated on an Among Us game.
A few days later I decide to go online again. I joined a Public game, and I was crewmate again. Everything went well until someone pressed the Emergency Meeting button. But then Pink voted for Cyan, one of my friends on itch.io. I knew that he was a crewmate, because I witnessed him do tasks in Security. So I wanted to say "Cyan was doing tasks in Electrical, and I saw it on cams" but I couldn't. I felt hesitated, and scrolled through every answer there was on QuickChat. But it was too late. They had all voted for Cyan. And Cyan wasn't the imposter.
I stopped playing Among Us for 1 month since then. I felt very disappointed and saddened, I didn't get the update that I was promised was good. I got so many buggy features on the game. I do hope Innersloth fixes these features and the new "Account" system that I just heard of so that I can play the game without frustration
I mean, Secret Neighbor has the Children and the Neighbor, just like Among Us has the Crewmates and the Imposter. The "tasks" you do in Secret Neighbor are technically getting keys, helping each other, and unlocking the basement door to get out of the house.
In Secret Neighbor, the Neighbor can hide in closets, like Imposters can hide in vents. The Neighbor has to disguise himself so that he doesn't become the center of attention, just like how the Imposter has to fit in with the rest of the crewmates, so that the Imposter doesn't become the center of attention.
So technically speaking, Among Us is basically Secret Neighbor. And I have proof so you don't need to downvote this comment. I'm not like the rest of the people on the internet. Those stupid gum-chewing no-proof idiots.
I'm actually upset. I've been playing on mobile for a few months, and I enjoyed the game. I hate the speech wheel thing. It doesn't work, and now we can't use anything but that. I'm actually baffled. The fun part of the game is the deceit and lies, NOT the gameplay. The gameplay is fun, but lying to the rest of the crew while silently slaughtering people that trust you... That's great. You can't do fucking anything with the wheel. It's awful. I absolutely FUCKING hate it. Change it back, PLEASE!
If you don't use Steam (some people literally can't - it's been a known health hazard for over 18 months), get a refund. They've functionally taken the game you bought away from you aren are trying to give you a version you don't have access to in its place.
If you're ok with using Steam, you can use Steam. Alternatively, you can play without an account and accept the (excessive) limitations that comes with.
It's been triggering migraines, epilepsy, vertigo and other conditions with Valve knowing it's doing so at least for those first 2 problems for over 18 months and refusing to address it. So... yes, it is.
I really resent that I can't type during AU discussion. The wheel dialog system is too unintuitive, and it appears that most people are just voting without discussion now.
The itch.io version of Among Us isn't being supported. If you bought the game here, you have a Steam key on the download page. If you're not ok with using Steam (some can't, some won't, for various reasons), contact itch.io for a refund (the devs aren't the seller, so even though it's their decision that's invalidating your purchase, it's the store that's responsible for handling a refund).
If you want to reach out to the devs as well, more people doing so might help push them to actually support the version of the game many of us paid for.
When I download the mobile version so i don't gotta pay for it cause i am pc. It just says "save as, save" and I'll do all that and it won't open it just does the same thing over and over
The mobile version won't open on PC unless you run it through a mobile emulator. Bluestacks is a popular one for android emulation, I don't use them but it's an option if that's what you're after.
Worth noting the paid version on itch.io for PC is unsupported, and you can get the game elsewhere in a properly-working version. Still costs money, but comes without some ad spam you get on mobile, and also with a few extra cosmetics which you'd have to pay for in the mobile version.

You seem to be the only one here with said problems so what specifically is your problem with steam because I think most people could use steam anyway

And Secret Neighbour is just Werewolf or Saboteur adapted to a digital format. The idea was originally a tabletop experience.
Yeah I guess
I mean I guess by it is secret neighbour

I think, more accurately, the deceit IS the gameplay. The rest of the game is just a platform on which it rests.
In-game it tells me "platform not supported" (or something like that) when I try to sign in. I have my steam key, what do I do with it?
Do I have to reinstall steam just for amogus? hggksjklg
