Some people have objections due to a variety of concerns relating to the company's behaviour, including recently doing the "making China happy" thing alongside a lot of other big names in the industry. There's also the past 18 months of the Steam client having been a known health hazard (causing issues for people with migraines, epilepsy and a few other conditions) which Valve has not just ignored, but actually made worse instead of better since they caused the problem.
very good game but when I installed the game I started the session as you promised but when I wanted to reinstall the game because I had little space and I wanted to start session, it told me (Error GoogleAuthFail) Please fix that :(
I paid the game here, not in Steam, because I wanted the game, not the Steam key. Now it's impossible to play without Steam. WHY? I don't want to download Steam. I want my money back.
Contact support. When checking support page for itch.io they give the email address us@innersloth.com as a support contact but recent messages from the company have suggested to use support@innersloth.com - I emailed the first address 5 days ago and the second one yesterday, haven't heard back from either yet.
Worst-case, if they don't reply in a week or so, contact itch.io support about the issue, and mention that the company isn't responding to your emails. But do give them a bit of time. This update has (obviously) not gone smoothly so they're going to have a lot of emails to work through.
The itch.io version also comes with a Steam key. You can find it on your download page for the game. You don't need to repurchase the game. Doesn't help the growing numbers of users who are avoiding Steam, though. Which particularly sucks for those who are forced to do so because Valve turned their client into a health hazard for some people with migraines, epilepsy, vertigo and several other conditions and have knowingly refused to fix it for over 18 months now.
According to a comment about a day ago here, the devs supposedly said on Discord that the itch.io version of the game is no longer being supported. Haven't seen any official source for that myself, but given the existence of an error saying that, it would seem logical that they would only put an "unsupported version" message into the code if they intended to stop supporting something.
I've contacted them using the email address I was given by the itch.io support page (us@innersloth.com). That got an automated "we've received your message" reply straight away, but it's been almost 4 days since I sent the message without a reply yet.
I've seen mention of a different email address being used by support (support@innersloth.com) in the comments here as well, and have re-sent my email to that address today. Hopefully one of these messages will get a response soon.
I KNOW HOW TO FIX IT DUDE. Every Itch download comes with a Steam key. Go to download Among Us, get the steam key, install steam if you haven't already, put in the key, and hit play.
Unless you have reason not to use Steam (which there are a few reasons for, incluing it having been a known health hazard for some people for a year and a half now). That doesn't "fix" it, it provides a (bad) workaround.
It's triggering migraines, epilepsy, vertigo and some other conditions for people ever since the big revamp of the UI in late 2019. In spite of knowing it's a problem since a few days after the update, the only thing Valve has done which relates to the problem has been to block access to the only safe workaround that existed.
My son updated and re-installed the new Among Us map. Now we have purple blobs as the characters. Does anyone know why or what needs to be done. My son uses a chromebook, it's the newest version of the chromebook. TIA!
Hello! To fix this problem: as you know you have a steam key, so if steams not installed you should need to have it. You can play it on Steam, but not itch.io. Recently i think they said theyre not using itch.io for users to be downloading it and buying it on there.
The reason Among Us isn't free for PC is because the devs need to pay for the servers that allow you to play online with people around the globe. Servers cost a lot of money, and the best multiplayer games use good hard-working expensive servers. So that's why Among Us isn't free for PC. It's because of server costs.
It wont work, you probably need a android because aswell since an apple product (mac) cant buy the game, thats also why apple phones won work. Atleast i think
hi there my friend bought a new laptop and bought and installed on windows10 among us v2021.3.21m. when she tries to join our game, she gets an error message "incorrect version....this room was made with among us v2021.3.5.0" what can she do?
1. You have an "edit" button which would have been more sensible than double-posting.
2. You could also have replied to your own message to add that you're on windows.
3. There are at least 3 storefronts you could have bought the game from. Assuming you're on itch.io (since this is where you're posting), the game doesn't auto-update, you have to go to the top of the page and download the up-to-date version.
4. The latest update has removed features from the itch.io version, flagging it as "unsupported." Assuming Steam is an option for you (it isn't safe for some of us), the download page on itch.io also includes a Steam key.
its bought not bout and from your spelling im assuming that you didnt buy among us you probably just downloaded it from a youtube video buy the game dont try to get it for free.
If you scroll to the very top of the page, like I already said, not near the bottom of the page where there's a "buy now" button it should show a banner with "You own this game" and a download button. If it doesn't, you didn't complete the transaction, you refunded the game, or you're logged into a different account.
What does the edit button and replying to your own comment to tell people what OS you are using have to do with updating a game to play the latest update?
It has to do with the fact that the person I was commenting to had posted 2 messages in a row, one asking for help and the other, separately, listing their OS. Which is directly relevant information for the first comment, so would be better edited into that comment or at least added as a reply instead of a separate comment.

Good for you
to people who have the problem ''unsupported version'' or similar.
Itch.io is no more supported.
Bought the game here, and can't however still play it?
You may have a steam key yourself if steam's already downloaded yourself.
(If you have anymore problems you can reply and i'll try my best to anwser them..Plz dont reply like till 5PM or so in the CEST timezone)
so that means you have to buy it from steam
you'd still have a steam key

I get an error when trying to make an account that InnerSloth has not addressed. I get:
Error: Unsupported Platform.
But all platforms are supported for accounts.

How the hell is Steam a Health Hazard.

My son updated and re-installed the new Among Us map. Now we have purple blobs as the characters. Does anyone know why or what needs to be done. My son uses a chromebook, it's the newest version of the chromebook. TIA!
Chromebook is a variation of the Linux operating system.
Among Us only supports Windows, so I don't really understand how your Son was able to play the Game without using Tools like WINE or Proton.
I suggest to look at this tutorial: https://beebom.com/install-play-among-us-on-chromebook/
A lot of different ways of playing the game on a chromebook are described here. Maybe one of them works for you?
Me Too! I have not been able to play among us for days I am still trying to troubleshoot!
Amogus
AMOGUS
So Among Us is technically Secret Neighbor, right?
Hey, can someone show me a solution about this error?
I don't know how to fix it, and, Innersloth is going to?
Help, please. (I'm on PC)
MY GOD! THIS IS THE ERROR INNERSLOTH HASN'T TALKED ABOUT! I have the same issue.
I THINK THAT YOU ALL NEED TO QUIT AMONG US

Who knows, maybe steams easier for them.
Is it me or The Airship image for host is the same as The Skeld? Mira and Polus images are differents. To prove I'll there are the screenshots
it is, its not just you
Not me waiting for mac
Mac wont be there for a long time. Neither will Chromebook, sadly. Dont think they wont test the game so soon

Hey! i make a animation (a bad animation)

hi there

what can she do?
Update your game. And tell her to update her game too. The latest version is v2021.3.31.3.
You have to join the lobby with the same version you have. An old version can't join a new version lobby
according to the official discord, being unable to create accounts on the itch version is not a bug. we're just not supported in this version lol
Why not? And will we be supported?
Not so soon. But, you can play on steam. You probably have a key so you can
I found out about the steam key myself, and it worked. Lost all my gamepasses though. :(
I get scared
THATS A BIG SUSSY!!
and im on windows
i cant update
